After Meeting last week, Friends discussed several options about our gathering for Worship this next First Day. Among the discussions was a proposal that Meeting be held in the Bicentennial Park next door to the Meetinghouse (206 N 5th Ave, Wilmington, NC 28401). Naturally, that gathering would be subject to both State of North Carolina and City of Wilmington regulations. Gatherings out of doors are not regulated by either the State of North Carolina and City of Wilmington as to specifics. However, social distancing rules would apply, and the Meeting recognizes the advice given by the Director of the Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (Dr. Fauci) and the CDC. Members will need to maintain distances of at least six feet apart, face coverings that are adequate, frequent thorough hand washings, sanitizing surfaces constantly, general attention to the status of yourself and others. For your comfort, bring your desired outdoor seating.

Members that elect to do the above may also “tune in” to the Zoom Meeting going on at the same time. Zoom Meeting will take place as scheduled, hopefully beginning at 10:00 AM (given operational quirks, some of which have been corrected over time). So, you have a choice of Meetings this First Day, and may attend both, provided that your device can pick up the Zoom signals in the Park.
